What is Pandan?
Pandan — also known as screwpine — is a fragrant tropical plant native to Southeast Asia. Its long, green leaves are prized for their ability to colour, scent, and flavour food and drinks. When cooked, pandan reveals a sweet, nutty, and floral profile often referred to as “the Asian vanilla.”
Celebrated by chefs around the world, pandan is used in both sweet and savoury creations. At Bandoeng’22, we’ve captured the essence of this unique ingredient and blended it with warming Asian spices and traditional Dutch craftsmanship.

Heritage and flavor
Bandoeng’22 was born from our Dutch-Indonesian heritage a background rich in memories, flavours, and the culture of Rempah, the traditional Indonesian spice mix that shaped our taste for life.
From the very beginning, we knew this wouldn’t be just another flavoured liqueur. It had to be something more. A tribute to where we come from. A celebration of roots, rituals, and the rich layers of flavour that connect past and present.
