A cocktail inspired by campfire vibes, rum and dessert
During our visit to Nevada this past April, Bandoeng’22 hosted a special event for industry professionals and cocktail enthusiasts at Rum Sugar Lime (RSL), one of Reno’s most popular cocktail bars. On the menu were several unique cocktails showcasing our pandan liqueur — including a standout signature drink: The Rumpanpan, created by RSL owner Loren DiVincenzi and his team.
This cocktail delivers a creamy, cookie-like flavor, blending Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur with Loren’s spirit of choice: rum. “When I first tasted Bandoeng’22, I immediately thought of its subtle, biscuit-like notes — I knew I had to do something with that,” says Loren.

The inspiration behind The Rumpanpan comes from the classic American s’mores: toasted marshmallow and chocolate sandwiched between two graham crackers — a nostalgic treat traditionally made over a campfire, and a nod to Reno’s love of the outdoors.
The name is a playful twist: during a brainstorming session, Loren combined the catchy “Rum-pu-pu-pum” line from Rihanna’s song Man Down with the drink’s star ingredient, pandan. And so, The Rumpanpan was born — a cozy campfire favorite reimagined as a cocktail.
How to Make it
Loren has generously shared RSL’s recipe so you can enjoy this cocktail at your own bar.
Ingredients:
2 oz (60 ml) graham cracker infused El Dorado 5yr rum
0.25 oz (7,5 ml) creme de cacao
0.25 oz (7,5 ml) dry sack sherry
0.75 oz (25 ml) Bandoeng pandan liqueur
4 dashes chocolate bitters
0.5 oz (15 ml) coconut milk
Preparation
Infuse rum with Graham crackers the day before. Hard shake with ice. Double strain and poor into a Nick & Nora glass. Use Cinnamon for garnish.

About Loren
Loren DiVincenzi’s passion for the culinary arts brought his family into the world of food and drinks. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Loren honed his craft in several Michelin-starred restaurants in Napa Valley as a pastry chef before returning to Reno. There, he began bartending at Chapel Tavern and eventually co-founded RSL, where he now serves as General Manager. Together with his creative team, Loren is dedicated to delivering hand-crafted cocktails and warm hospitality, one tropical drink at a time.
