Bandoeng’22 Mai Tai

The Mai Tai is one of the most famous Tiki drinks in the world. Composed of rum, orange curaçao, fresh lime juice and orgeat syrup. Supposedly, the first person to try the cocktail was said to cry out “Mai Tai!” which means “the best—out of this world” in Tahitian.

The Mai Tai was created as a way to showcase the flavors of good-quality rum, we like to add Bandoeng’22 to the recipe and showcase the versatility of our Pandan liqueur.

Preparation method of Bandoeng’2 Mai Tai
Fill a tumbler glass with ice cubes. Fill a shaker with ice, add all the spirits and lime juice, except Bandoeng’22. Shake well! Pour contents through a strainer into the glass. Top it all with crushed ice and carefully pour a layer of Bandoeng’22 over it. Garnish with lime, mint and (optional) a cherry with a piece of spekkoek on a skewer.

Ingredients
30 ml (1 oz) white rum
30 ml(1 oz) Bandoeng’22
20 ml (0.5 oz) Cointreau
10 ml (0.25 oz) Amaretto
0,5 a Lime
1 mint twig
Lime wedge
Ice cubes
Crushed Ice
