Dark, Green ‘N Stormy

Tasty, refreshing with a hint of Pandan

The Dark ’n Stormy is a delicious, easy-to-make cocktail that features a refreshing trio of dark rum, ginger beer and lime. Its origin is a bit hazy, though it’s likely that rum and ginger beer were first combined by sailors who enjoyed the benefits of rum and the stomach-settling qualities of ginger. But Dark ’n Stormy’s direct lineage can be traced to the small islands in the Atlantic Ocean.

And what also combines very well with dark rum, ginger beer or lime is Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur. So why not make a Dark, Green ‘N Stormy?!

Preparation method of Bandoeng’2 Dark, Green ‘N Stormy
Fill a long drink glass with ice cubes and pour in Bandoeng’22, the ginger beer and squeeze half a lime. Now slowly pour the rum on top. This should float nicely. Serve with a wedge of lime, a straw and possibly 1 or 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters.

Ingredients
50 ml (1.7 oz) Dark Rum (Don Papa)
30 ml (1 oz) Bandoeng’22
100 ml (3.4 oz) Ginger Beer
1/2 Lime
Angostura Bitters (optional)
