Earlier this year (last June), team Bandoeng’22 went to the BCB in Brooklyn, New York. As a result of this event, we have found a number of distributors in the United States, making the first steps of sales in America a fact.
Export to the US
Prior to this visit, we had found an importer a year earlier and together we were able to get our product approved by the FDA. Although this had consequences for the bottle and the label, the first bottles of Pandan liqueur eventually went to the US by container.
Bar Convent Brooklyn
The BCB is an event for the catering industry where bartenders in particular are introduced to suppliers, producers and new drinks. This Bar Convent is a German initiative and takes place annually in Berlin. This year it was also held in Brooklyn and recently in Singapore.
At the Bar Convent Brooklyn we have noticed that bartenders are gradually becoming familiar with the pandan flavor. And people were really enthusiastic about our arrival and our liqueur. The mixologists at the event came from all over North America. States such as New York, Virginia, Florida, California, etc. were represented.
America 2024
Next year our international focus will mainly be on the US. We will start with the states of New York, California, Florida and Nevada, where we will market Bandoeng’22 together with the importer and distributors.
