Bandoeng’22 Bar take-over in Amsterdam
On Tuesday, September 9th, from 20:00 – 23:00 hrs., Amsterdam will be the stage for a very special evening. We’re thrilled to announce that cocktail bar Balderdash from Copenhagen is flying in to take over the bar at Belly of the Beast, the award-winning cocktail bar by Tess Posthumus.
For one night only, Geoffrey Canilao and Iskren Ivanov of Balderdash will be behind the bar, shaking and stirring an exclusive menu of cocktails crafted with our Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur. Expect bold flavors, unexpected pairings, and a true taste of Balderdash’s creative cocktail culture.

Balderdash is not just a bar, it’s an experience. Led by bartender Geoffrey Canilao, this Copenhagen hotspot has gained a reputation as one of the most innovative bars in Scandinavia. With the motto “keep it hygge”, the team ensures everyone feels at home the moment they walk in.
The cocktail menu is in constant evolution and often features playful, offbeat creations. From the “Let’s Get Weird Martini” with cheese puff distillate to the “Mushroom Alexander” topped with grated deer heart, at Balderdash, nothing is too unusual.
Of course, one of our all-time favorites is the “Wanderlust Cooler”: a refreshing blend of coconut rum, Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur, aquavit, pink grapefruit, and cardamom foam. A cocktail that perfectly captures the Balderdash spirit; surprising, delicious, and unforgettable.

Belly of the Beast is the latest project by the award-winning bartender Tess Posthumus, a well-established name in the world of bartending. Together with Joeri Salet, co-owner of Supper and the successful Bar Rouge, which was nominated for the Best Restaurant/Bar Entree Awards in 2021, they bring a unique synergy to the historic Odeon building in Amsterdam.
