Bandoeng’22 Expands to Australia

Our journey continues

We’re excited to announce that Bandoeng’22 is coming to Australia! Bandoeng’22 sees Australia as an ideal market for introducing Pandan Liqueur. 7000 Islands will serve as our importer and distributor. Starting in the cities of Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney, Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur will be available in a couple of days to bartenders and consumers alike. The crates Bandoeng’22 are on the airplane!

Australian market
In many South Asian countries, pandan is an essential ingredient in both sweet and savory dishes. As a close neighbor, Australia has embraced South East Asian cuisine, often pairing it with local wines, beers, and innovative cocktails.

Australia’s diverse Asian communities, including the significant Chinese, Filipino and Vietnamese communities, have enriched the local food scene with their traditional flavors. Pandan is commonly used in Thai, Vietnamese, Taiwanese and Filipino cuisine, flavoring coconut milk-based dishes and desserts like Buko pandan. It is also featured in rice-based treats like Suman and various sweet beverages and confections.

7000 Islands
An independent Australian drinks company specializing in craft spirits, beer and wine, 7000 Islands Drinks is proud to be the exclusive distributor of Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur in Australia. They produce small-batch Australian wines that pair perfectly with the tropical cuisine of The Philippines and import unique Filipino artisanal spirits, liqueurs, and mixers. Our pandan liqueur is the first product from the Netherlands to be represented by 7000 Islands.
