Ambassador of Dutch Drinks in the United Kingdom
For this edition, we spoke with Patrick van der Peet, owner of PR Dutch Drinks, our importer and distributor for Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur in the UK. Patrick is a true hospitality professional at heart, a proud father of two daughters, and a born storyteller. With passion and dedication, he helps Dutch beverage brands find their place in the competitive British market.
PR Dutch Drinks: From car boot to one-stop shop
The story began in 2019 when Patrick and his business partner Eric decided to start selling Dutch beer in the UK — first informally, later officially under the name Proeflokaal Rembrandt (PR). Today, PR Dutch Drinks has grown into a specialised platform representing over twenty Dutch craft beer brands and a selection of unique spirits. Their mission: to introduce Dutch quality to the UK market in a distinctive way, with a strong focus on sustainable partnerships and transparency.

Patrick explains: “We offer brands a true one-stop shop: from import and distribution to activations, events, and online sales. Everything needed to successfully launch a brand in the UK.”
A permanent home base: the Dutch bar in London
A unique flagship is their very own Dutch bar in London on the Bermondsey Beer Mile — a place that exclusively serves Dutch beers on tap and features a cocktail menu crafted entirely with Dutch spirits. “Think of it as a permanent home for our brands and a meeting place for lovers of Dutch craft drinks,” says Patrick.
Why Bandoeng’22 in the UK?
According to Patrick, Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur is a perfect fit for the UK market. Not just because of the growing demand for unique flavour profiles in the cocktail scene, but also because the UK has a large Asian community already familiar with pandan as a culinary ingredient. “We see great potential among specialised cocktail bars, but also online for home cocktail enthusiasts. People increasingly want to discover premium products and experiment,” he explains.
Plans for the future
In the coming period, PR Dutch Drinks will focus on increasing the visibility of Bandoeng’22. This includes tastings, collaborations with bartenders, and a presence at events. Additionally, they are working on expanding distribution through well-known online retailers such as Master of Malt and The Whisky Exchange, as well as launching their own Amazon storefront. This way, Bandoeng’22 will steadily become a staple in both the British hospitality industry and home bars.
Patrick concludes: “With Bandoeng’22, we’re bringing not just a unique liqueur, but also a touch of experience and Asian craftsmanship to the UK. It’s my personal mission to make this flavour known to as wide an audience as possible.”
