We are proud to announce that Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur was recently voted among the absolute world top at the IWSC (International Wine and Spirit Competition) in London. An international jury of experts awarded our liqueur a bronze medal in the liqueur category. Bandoeng’22 has already achieved a prestigious award in its first year of production.
International Wine and Spirit Competition
The International Wine and Spirit Competition has been highly regarded since 1969, and producers from all over the world can compete for international recognition. The IWSC aims to promote the quality and excellence of the world’s finest wines, spirits and liquors.
The judges were enthusiastic and described the property liqueur as “An aroma of nutmeg, cocoa and hazelnut, which are later followed by nutty and botanical scents.” The taste reminded them of “a combination of freshly baked apple crumble with sweet vanilla and cinnamon.”
Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur has only been available since the second quarter of this year and already counts some very renowned names among its clientele, including; Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam, Ron Gastrobar Indonesia and Flying Dutchmen Cocktails (by Tess Posthumus and Timo Janse)
History
Bandoeng’22 is the first liqueur in the world with the taste of pandan and responds to the rise of Asian restaurants with a modern and refined cuisine, where dishes are increasingly combined with beautiful cocktails. Due to a combination of spicy and sweet flavors and a striking green color, the liqueur can be widely used in mixes, cocktails, pastries and desserts.
Bandoeng’22 was partly created through a crowdfunding campaign (Crowd About Now platform). The three owners of Twisted Concepts B.V. have combined their (Asian) roots and years of experience in the drinks market to create this liqueur.
