Bandoeng’22 will be present at CHEFS CULINAR 2026, one of Germany’s leading hospitality trade events. During a series of on-trade activations, we introduce bartenders, chefs and hospitality professionals to the versatility of pandan liqueur through cocktails, desserts and coffee serves.
Bringing Pandan to the German Hospitality Scene
Germany is seeing a growing interest in Asian flavors, both in the kitchen and behind the bar. At CHEFS CULINAR, Bandoeng’22 showcases how pandan can play a role in this movement.
With its distinctive aromatic profile, often described as vanilla-like with coconut and floral notes, pandan liqueur offers a new dimension for menus looking to stand out.
From Cocktail to Dessert and Coffee
During the event, Bandoeng’22 will be presented in multiple applications to demonstrate its versatility:
- Cocktails: simple highballs, refreshing serves and modern classics with a pandan twist
- Desserts: pairing with sweet dishes where pandan enhances vanilla, coconut and spice notes
- Coffee serves: approachable after-dinner applications such as a Pandan Latte
These applications are designed to be easy to implement while delivering a distinctive flavor experience.
Designed for the On-Trade
Bandoeng’22 is crafted specifically for use in hospitality. Its balanced profile and mixability allow bartenders and chefs to integrate pandan without complexity.
For operators, this translates into:
- easy-to-execute serves
- strong visual appeal (emerald green cocktails)
- clear differentiation on the menu
What Is Pandan Liqueur?
Pandan liqueur is inspired by pandan leaves, a key ingredient in Southeast Asian cuisine. Known for its unique aroma, reminiscent of vanilla, coconut and toasted rice, pandan is widely used in desserts, drinks and savory dishes.
Bandoeng’22 builds on this tradition by combining pandan with a blend of warming spices, creating a liqueur that works across cocktails, desserts and coffee.
Why Bartenders Are Exploring Pandan
Bartenders are increasingly looking for ingredients that offer:
- recognizable yet new flavor profiles
- versatility across different types of serves
- a story that connects with guests
Pandan answers all three. It brings familiarity through its soft sweetness, while still being unique enough to surprise.
Expanding Across Germany
The presence at CHEFS CULINAR is part of Bandoeng’22’s broader expansion into the German market. By working closely with hospitality professionals, the goal is to build long-term partnerships and introduce pandan as a new standard flavor within modern cocktail and dining culture.
Live from Neumünster
As this article is being written, Bandoeng’22 is present at the CHEFS CULINAR Messe in Neumünster. Representing the brand on site is our co-founder Mariska, who is introducing visitors to the story, flavor profile and applications of Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur. Together with the enthusiastic team of Chefs Culinar Nord -lead by the passionate Category Manager Beverages Anne Geyer, she is invitingbar and restaurant owners to experience Bandoeng’22 in its purest form (served neat) allowing them to discover its soft, aromatic and gently spiced character firsthand.
Behind the bar, professional bartenders Daniel and Tim are crafting signature serves for (potential) customers, including The Bandoeng’22 Sling and The Frozen Pandan Colada.
Both cocktails are garnished with a slice of traditional Dutch Pandan Spekkoek (produced by Hekos) a layered spice cake that is beloved in the Netherlands but still largely unknown in Germany.
