Bandoeng’22 co-founder Fajar Ramadhany

A bit of my roots in a bottle.

My name is Fajar Ramadhany, I am one of the three founders of Bandoeng ’22. Born to Indonesian parents in Jakarta, Indonesia, I grew up with a deep appreciation for my cultural heritage, especially the culinary culture. I moved to the Netherlands when I was 12 and live in a small coastal town in Noord-Holland ever since.

Pursuing my dream
After eight years of corporate career, where I gained my international experience working with people from with different backgrounds and in different countries. I decided to start my own business in 2006. Pursuing my dream to set my business footprint with my roots and in Indonesia. My businesses put me more in touch with the world and open up new opportunities.

As a father of 2 mixed-race daughters, Dutch-Indonesian, I realise the importance of passing on the cultural heritage and maintaining awareness of their have roots in Indonesia. In 2017 The Bandoeng’22 journey has started together with Mariska and Marc with a succesful launch of our Pandan Liqueur in 2019. This journey helps me to create the legacy for my daughters.

Ready for the world!
With Bandoeng ’22, I want to put the Southeast Asian culinary culture to the next level in a way that has not been done much in the past. Without any background in the food and beverages industry, I see this as a once in a lifetime challenge. I am proud of what we have brought to the market, a spiced pandan liqueur. A bit of my roots with every sip of the liqueur. The awards that we have received from many International Competitions show that the world is ready for spirits with authentic Southeast Asian flavours. I am more than ready to show the world about authentic Southeast Asian flavours in cocktails!
