Bandoeng’22 heads to CHEFS CULINAR Düsseldorf

Bringing pandan to cocktails and coffee

Germany, here we come again. On September 13th and 14th, Bandoeng’22 will be heading to Düsseldorf for the next edition of the CHEFS CULINAR trade show. Following our previous appearances at CHEFS CULINAR events across Germany, we are looking forward to once again meeting hospitality professionals and showing them just how versatile Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur can be.

This time, we are taking pandan beyond the bottle, with bartenders creating cocktails and a barista demonstrating a completely different application: the Pandan Latte.

Pandan behind the bar

Cocktails remain at the heart of Bandoeng’22. During the Düsseldorf show, bartenders will be working with our Pandan Liqueur, demonstrating how its distinctive aromatic character can be used in different styles of drinks. With its notes of pandan, soft vanilla, coconut and warming spices, Bandoeng’22 can add an unmistakable Southeast Asian twist to both approachable serves and more creative cocktails.

For us, these live applications are an important part of introducing pandan to hospitality professionals. Tasting the liqueur neat tells one part of the story. Experiencing what happens when a bartender starts working with it tells another.

And then there’s coffee…

Pandan is certainly not limited to the cocktail bar.

At CHEFS CULINAR Düsseldorf, baristas will also be working with Bandoeng’22 to create a Pandan Latte, combining coffee, milk and the aromatic character of our Pandan Liqueur. It is a simple serve, but one that demonstrates exactly why we see so much potential for pandan within modern hospitality. The familiar, comforting character of a latte meets a flavor deeply rooted in Southeast Asian cuisine.

For this activation, we are teaming up with Tchibo Coffee Service GmbH from Hamburg. During the event, the Pandan Latte will be prepared and served at both the Tchibo Coffee stand and the “Kostbar”, giving visitors two opportunities to discover how pandan and coffee can work together.

And because Bandoeng’22 is a liqueur, it turns the Pandan Latte into an indulgent adult coffee serve that can work particularly well as an after-dinner drink.

Growing our presence in Germany

Our participation in Düsseldorf is part of our ongoing collaboration with CHEFS CULINAR and our ambition to further establish Bandoeng’22 within the German hospitality market. Through CHEFS CULINAR, hospitality professionals across Germany can order Bandoeng’22 Pandan Liqueur and use it in cocktails, coffee serves, desserts and other culinary applications.

Events like these give us the opportunity to go one step further: to meet the people who actually work with the product and let them experience its possibilities firsthand.

Representing Bandoeng’22 in Düsseldorf will once again be our co-founder Mariska van Beek, who will be there to share our story, talk pandan and meet bartenders, chefs, baristas and other hospitality professionals.
